The immigration argue is once once more commanding the news as appendages of Congress focal point on the long-neglected trouble of fixing our country?s failed immigration laws.
American lawmakers are nowadays at a decisive point. Enforcement-only legislation will not labor & hasn?t worked. Previous efforts to solve this trouble by centering entirely on margin security have failed miserably.

We must study from our mistakes, not repeat them. What we need is comprehensive, bipartisan immigration reform that deals smartly with the estimated eleven million undocumented immigrants living & working in the U.S.
Most are relatives of U.S. citizens & lawful residents or workers holding jobs that Americans do not want. People already here who are not a threat to our security, but who labor hard, pay taxes & are studying English, ought be allowed to bring in ageless residence.
The Secure America & Orderly Immigration Act, introduced by Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., Sen. Edward Kennedy, D-Mass., & others, includes the required portions of reform & supplies the basis for fixing our system. It combines toughness with fairness, creating a new temporary visa program that supplies a legal stream of workers.
This ?break-the-mold? worker program would importantly dwindle illegal immigration by creating a legal avenue for folks to enter the U.S., anything that hardly exists today. Current immigration laws provide just 5,000 annual ageless visas & 66,000 temporary visas for indispensable lesser-skilled workers, in no path assembling the annual enquire for 500,000 such workers.
