Royal Newlyweds Thank Seychelles Officials For 'Memorable' Honeymoon

Prince William and his new bride Catherine, Duchess Of Cambridge enjoyed a "memorable" honeymoon in the idyllic Seychelles, according to royal officials.

The pair married to much fanfare in front of a global audience of two billion last month, but they decided to hold off their first vacation as newlyweds so that the prince could resume his duties as a helicopter search and rescue pilot.

They eventually jetted off earlier this month to a secluded island in the Indian Ocean archipelago, and upon their return on Friday, released a statement to thank Seychelles residents and authorities for their hospitality.

The spokesperson says, "The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have returned to the U.K. from their honeymoon in the Seychelles

"The couple thoroughly enjoyed their time together, and they are grateful to the Seychelles government for their assistance in making the honeymoon such a memorable and special ten days."
