It?s been awhile since we here in the Americas saw a nice 3D Classics release. So far, only six 3D Classics titles have been released, all from the NES era ? but Sega?s been hard at work adapting a bunch of games for the 3DS market? in Japan. They?ve already released two classics: Super Hang-On and Space Harrier.
The latest title? The original Sonic the Hedgehog for Sega Genesis.
The release is set to include a save function, easy access to the stage select feature, controls customization, the ability to select the original Japanese version or the Western version, and the option to enable or disable the Spin Dash move, which didn?t appear in the game initially.
No news yet on whether this release is headed West.
Sonic the Hedgehog 3D Classics will be available for download for 600 yen (about $6) in Japan on May 15.
